Master the core gameplay mechanics of Tap Ants. Learn how to tap, level up, and build your ant army.
Choose Your Egg
In Tap Ants, every Ant Army begins with a single egg—your character's first form.
On this screen, you'll choose which egg to hatch into your future Ant.
Use the side arrows to browse through a variety of unique characters, each with their own growth traits and abilities.
Tap 'Choose This Egg' when you're ready to begin your legacy.
Home
The Home Screen is where the action begins! This is your main hub for interacting with your characters and building up your Ant Army.
Tap to Grow
Smash the big TAP button to earn coins and help your character level up. Tapping fuels your progress—but it also uses up energy, shown as golden bars at the top. When those bars run out, you'll need to wait for energy to regenerate or use a Boost Potion to instantly recover your strength.
Switch Characters
Use the left and right arrow buttons on each side of your egg to browse through your available eggs. Choose which character you want to play—each one has unique traits that impact your Ant Army's growth.
Track Your Progress
Coins (center circle): Earned from tapping, these can be spent in the Market to buy items and upgrades.
Level Info (top right): See your current level and XP progress toward the next evolution.
Ant Army Icon (right side): Tap to view all your unlocked characters and switch between them easily.
Quick Access
Top of screen: Access settings and your wallet.
Bottom navigation: Jump to your Inventory, Missions, Market, and more.
Inventory
The Inventory Screen is your go-to spot for game-enhancing items. Spend your in-game coins here to unlock tools that help you grow your Ant Army faster and smarter.
Level Up Quicker – Use boosts and consumables to gain XP faster and evolve your characters efficiently.
Unlock New Characters – Purchase special eggs and discover new ant types to diversify your army.
Auto-Tapper (Worker Ant) – Hire a worker ant who keeps tapping and collecting coins even when you're not actively playing. Perfect for passive progress!
Whether you're looking to speed things up or collect rare ants, the Inventory is where your strategy comes to life.
Missions
The Missions Page is where gameplay meets opportunity. Complete fun, bite-sized tasks to earn in-game coins and XP—while discovering exciting content and exploring other innovative Web3 projects along the way.

Partner missions usually won't all appear at once. After you tap and complete one, the next will unlock within 2 hours. Check back later to see your next mission!

Limited Availability – Some items are exclusive, can only be purchased once, or are limited to once per day—so choose wisely!

In-Game Mailbox
Your Mailbox isn't just for messages—it's your hub for updates, rewards, and bonus coins. Here's how it works:
Spot New Messages
Look for the mailbox icon at the top of your home screen.
A red badge with a number means you've got new messages waiting.
These can include event announcements, airdrop alerts, retirement rewards, and bonus coins.
Check Mail
Tap your mailbox every time you play.
Staying updated ensures you never miss limited-time events or rewards.
Many messages include free game-coins just for opening them—so checking your mailbox is like free income for your colony.
Pro Tip: Some rewards (like retirement bonuses) expire daily—so make it a habit to claim them before they're gone!
Account
Manage your profile, connect your wallet, and customize your Tap Ants experience.

Hall of Fame
Immortalize your best ants, earn game-coins over time, and flex your collection. Here's the click-by-click walk-through.
Open your Ant Army
From Home, tap Ant Army.
View Your Ant Army
This screen shows your active ants and the Hall of Fame entry point. You can select an Ant to play from this screen or enter your Hall of Fame.
Enter the Hall of Fame
First visit? You'll see an empty hall.
Tap Retire Ant to begin.
Pick an eligible ant
On Retire Ants, you'll only see ants that can retire:
- Level 30+ ants, or
- Partner campaign ants from expired campaigns.
Review the retirement details (important!)
Tap a character to open the confirmation sheet. You'll see:
- Total game-coins you'll earn, plus the daily amount for 15 days.
- How it's calculated: Rewards scale with levels above 30 (higher level = more game-coins).
This is a Permanent action: Retiring can't be undone.
Before you confirm:
- Make sure the ant reached your target level.
- If you're using this ant for an airdrop, confirm it has hit the required level and finished all required missions.
Tap Retire Ant to confirm.
Collect your rewards
Your Gold is delivered to your in-game mailbox daily for 15 days, starting immediately.
Claim daily: Each day's drop expires after 24 hours. Miss a day and that portion is gone—but the remaining days will still arrive.
Celebrate in the Hall
Once retired, your ant appears as a golden card in the Hall of Fame.
Build Your Legacy
Retire more ants to build a full, scrollable showcase of your colony's legends.
Hall of Fame Quick FAQ & Tips
What pays more—Lv30 or Lv31+?
Lv31+ pays significantly more. The higher above 30, the bigger the bonus (Lv50 pays the most).
Can I unretire an ant?
No—retirement is final.
Where do I find my payouts?
Mailbox (Home → message icon). Claim daily.
Why retire?
Earn steady game-coins, free up your active roster, and earn prestige with HoF cards.
